A
Conversation with Anders Albertson
Are you working with any golf coaches or instructors right now?
No, not at the moment.
How much do you
practice? What parts of your game do you work on the most?
I would say
I practice one to two hours a week this time of year, and practically sun up
to sun down on the weekends. I'll focus a little more on my short game, but
work on everything on the weekends.
How has
Atlanta Junior
Golf helped you or your game?
Atlanta
Junior Golf has taught me how to compete in golf. I have really learned the
competitive side of the game, and it has given me a chance to play courses I
never would have been able to play.
Can you describe
what it was like to play in the Open Boys 15-18 division this year?
It was
tough. It was a humbling experience since there are so many guys that play
and it helped me realize the areas of my game I need to improve the most.
Can you describe what
it was like to have finished in the top five at the Grand Championship?
It wasn't
what I had envisioned, but I was happy to play as well as I did. I realized
that I needed to work on my putting since that is the biggest equalizer in
my game. My best tournament of the year was at
Coosa
(Country Club), but all in all I think it was a successful year.
